"Judge’s Commentary*:

Artwork is excellent and matches the story flow extremely well.  The action steps at the end are a very nice addition and will definitely be fun to get the wiggles out.

Your readers will also connect the appeal of not waiting and be curious to see the outcome. It might have been a little more personal though if the story had been told in his voice rather than a narrator’s.

The plot line and resolution is a realistic outcome to not being willing to wait, but the humor of his adventure and determination is well done. Overall it is a fun story all ages can have fun with.

Life in the Shadows- a story of resilience

In 1947 seven year old kady reveals what her family went through when their family was tossed into chaos by their alcoholic schizophrenic father. The tory is told honestly and takes you through the complexity of family dynamics and the struggle to hold it together in the face of adversity. But despite the challenges the family persevered and Kady"s spirit shines through reminding us all that hope can triumph over even the darkest of times. It is an emotional journey as you experience the resilience of the human spirit and the power of family bonds.

A must read for those who have a mentally ill person in their lives to show they are not alone. For those who have never had mental illness in their families it is an awakening.
